At present, all over the world are promoting outdoor wall greening, and Xiamen will continue to vigorously promote vertical greening this year. Recently, we learned from the municipal greening management center that Xiamen will carry out vertical greening construction for pedestrian overpasses and overpasses in important passageways such as Binhai West Avenue, Xinglinwan road and Jimei North Avenue, and beautify these originally cold concrete facilities with flowering shrubs such as bougainvillea. Xianyue road across the island Jinshang Road, Yunding North Road and other overpasses will also start vertical greening transformation.
Since 2006, as a new attempt to construct ecological civilization, vertical greening has been carried out in Ludao. In recent years, vertical greening work has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Nowadays, walking on the main roads of Xiamen City and entering the residential areas, vertical greening can be seen everywhere. This work has greatly improved the urban greening landscape and has become a major feature of urban landscape greening in Xiamen. Last year, on the basis of consolidating previous achievements, our city continued to promote the three-dimensional greening work, completed the construction of more than 200 vertical green spots, and further constructed the multi-level greening pattern of urban space. Some footbridge, viaduct, overpass bridge pier vertical greening transformation; some underpass passage, tunnel, culvert external wall, as well as the anchor wall, slope of residential area near the mountain have become the object of vertical greening.
